Minimalising packaging

Is minimalising a real English word? Who cares, but it serves this purpose. Check out this project which sets about re-designing famous products to minimise the design of the packaging.

Which do you prefer: Original, simple or minimal?

Mental disorder posters

I was doing some research about mental health and I came across a list of mental disorders. I chose a few, starting with OCD, and set myself the challenge of defining each in a minimal style.

Graphic Patrick – my new portfolio

I’m Graphic Patrick!

At least that’s what I proclaim on my new portfolio. It’s taken quite a number of years to sort out my own web site, but when I started, the design process was really quick and I had a great developer to build it.

I actually launched this a few weeks ago, but didn’t make a fuss about it then. Check it out – I’m really proud of it.

A question for Minimalists

Mies van der Rohe, designer of the iconic Barcelona chair, is often quoted as using the phrase “Less is more” to describe his approach towards design.

Tom Pollard

I don’t usually post about graphic design, as I’m generally looking for inspiration outside of my field, but I really love the work of Tom Pollard.

Do you need new headphones?

If I wasn’t desperately attached to my Sennheiser HD-25-1 headphones, I would be looking to get a pair of these.

I’m not sure what the sound is like, but who cares when they look as smart at this? Loads of another models here too.

I love their branding and simple clear website too.

Work: Branding for Amanda Mansell

Amanda Mansell is a jeweller who I am doing branding for. (She designed my fiancĂ©’s lovely engagement ring).

I am currently designing her web shop – AM by Amanda Mansell. This will be launched later this year, but in the meantime here’s a sneaky peak at the logo and business card.

Here is one of her collections and Lars’ engagement ring.

Great design content

Thinking for a Living pulls together design content in a typographically sexy site. Very good content it is too.
